Play Teen Patti free online
Teen Patti, also called 3 Patti or Indian poker, is played with a standard 52-card deck and three cards per player. This free table seats you with four computer opponents. Everyone puts in the boot, the dealer deals three cards each, and you take turns to bet or pack until a show decides the winner. Your play chips stay in this browser, so you can come back and carry on where you left off.
Teen Patti hand rankings
From best to worst. Suits never break a tie: two hands of the same value are equal.
| Hand | Example | How it ranks | Odds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trail | A♠A♥A♦ | Three cards of the same rank. Three aces are the best hand in the game. | 0.24% |
| Pure sequence | A♥K♥Q♥ | Three cards in a row, all one suit. A-K-Q is highest, then A-2-3, then K-Q-J down to 4-3-2. | 0.22% |
| Sequence | 5♠4♦3♣ | Three cards in a row in mixed suits, ranked the same way. K-A-2 is not a sequence. | 3.26% |
| Colour | K♦9♦4♦ | Three cards of one suit, not in a row. Compare the highest card, then the next, then the last. | 4.96% |
| Pair | Q♣Q♠7♥ | Two cards of the same rank. The higher pair wins; with equal pairs the odd card decides. | 16.94% |
| High card | A♥10♣6♠ | Anything else. Compare the highest card, then the next, then the last. | 74.39% |
How a hand of Teen Patti is played
- Boot
- Every player puts the boot of 50 chips in the pot and is dealt three cards face down. The boot is also the opening stake.
- Blind or seen
- You may play blind, without looking, or see your cards at any time. Seeing is free, but seen players bet twice as much as blind players.
- Chaal
- On your turn a blind player bets the stake and a seen player bets twice the stake. Raise to double it. The stake can climb to 1,600.
- Pack
- Fold your hand. The chips you have already bet stay in the pot.
- Show
- Only when two players are left. Pay for a show and both hands are turned over; the better hand takes the pot. A seen player cannot ask a blind player for a show. On equal hands, whoever paid for the show loses.
- Side show
- With three or more players left, a seen player can bet and ask the previous seen player to compare hands privately. They may accept or decline. The lower hand packs; on equal hands the player who asked packs.
- Pot limit
- When the pot reaches 12,800, every remaining hand is shown and the best hand wins. Equal best hands split the pot.
- Suits
- Suits never break a tie. Two hands of the same value are equal.
Blind or seen: which should you play?
Playing blind costs half as much per turn and keeps your opponents guessing, but you are betting without knowing what you hold. Once you see your cards you pay double, you can ask for a side show, and you can fold a weak hand before it costs you more. Many players stay blind for a round or two while the stake is low, then look.
